'Morpheus' is a motorised Thames sailing barge, built by Peter Buckle in 1960. She has been beautifully renovated internally, offerning a light and spacious living area, making her a perfect livaboard or holiday boat. She measures 10.36 m by 3.55 m. Her draft is 0.99m.
She was surveyed in 2015 and will have a new boat safety certificate for the new owner. The current owner has partially built in the wheel house, providing more usable space. There is also an aft cabin that is currently being used for storage but could be converted to a second bedroom.
The boat is powered by a Perkins 4108, which runs well. There is a 45 gallon fuel tank. Steps from here lead to the main living area. Painted in neutral colours with a large roof window (dog box) it feels light and airy. A comfortable sofa and clever storage make this feel homely and cosy. There are wooden floors throughout the boat. The heating comes from the morso woodburner. The galley runs along the side of the living area and is well equipped with a full size gas cooker, fridge and freezer, sink and plenty of storage. Also in the galley area is the victron 1200 inverter and 30 amp victron battery charger (there are 4 x 110 amp hour leisure batteries.
From the living area there is a curved corridor with door into the bathroom. This has a large shower, bautifulkly tiled. There is a sink and vanity unit and a pump out toilet. The hot water is from the calorifier. There is 60 gallon water tank, and a 60 gallon waste tank.
Back into the corridor it leads into the bedroom with a large double island bed, with bedside tables. A roof window above the bed gives plenty of light, and there is a large wardrobe and storage below the bed.
Externally there is a mast that folds down and leeboards making her a very pretty boat.
She is a lovely blend of traditional and contemporary. She is ready to move onto and sail away.
